You will oversee and support the retail automotive arm in the lower North Island. This will involve recruitment, training, overseeing and maintaining high standards of performance and service for our automotive stores. A strong focus on Health and Safety is essential as well as the ability to step in to a hands-on role temporarily if necessary.

Full Job Description

This position is responsible for the support of ongoing expansion and quality delivery of automotive service and spare parts programmes within the Bridgestone NZ Limited retail channel. The position holder will work closely with retail managers and automotive staff to ensure consistent levels of workmanship, work performance, procedural and regulatory compliance as well as ongoing development in their respective stores. • Maintenance of brand Identity of Company owned stores (as listed below). • Coach and mentor managers as necessary. • Ensure a high standard of presentation and housekeeping is maintained in stores. • Co-ordinate training and development of BNZ retail sales personnel. • Ensure that Health and Safety standards, policies, procedures and practices are fully complied with in all Company owned stores and during field operations. This includes the development and maintenance of a positive ‘culture of safety’ in each store that includes all employees. • Ensure compliance standards are being observed within the stores (as detailed below). • Monitor, measure, report and develop retail stores with attention to the following areas:  Service standards, staff coaching and monitoring  Sales talk in line with Marketing programs, product differentiation, L & D programs  Retail standards adherence  New product/service explanation & implementation  Opportunity identification (Trialing new products and service)  Brand Protection • Maintain communication and relationships with all relevant parties throughout all phases of programme research, trial and development and resolve all issues and problems in conjunction with relevant personnel. • Manage the implementation process for all approved automotive service offerings and ensure roll-out plans are developed and adhered to for all programmes implemented. • Monitor and report progress, issues and ongoing viability of all programmes implemented. • Identify training, qualification and compliance needs considering New Zealand legislative requirements. • Advise, recommend and implement strategies to recruit and retain automotive and other key employees. • Attend Dealer meetings and conferences where required.
