  1. Ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the Wellington Warehouse facility, adhering to all imposed timeframes and deadlines.
  2. Ensure all staff are adequately trained and supervised to perform all required tasks on time and in accordance with all appropriate timeframes/deadlines (releases, picking etc).
  3. Manage regular stock takes and cycle counts as directed by the business.
  4. Recruit and manage the ongoing performance of staff with assistance from Management/HR as appropriate.
  5. Continually strive for best practice in all aspects of the warehouse operation.
  6. Ensure that monthly building inspections are completed and, where necessary, the need for repair or maintenance is reported to the National Distribution Manager.
  7. Ensure that all accidents, damage, dangerous practices or near misses are recorded and reported to the National Distribution Manager.
  8. Give first level approval to all invoices received for payment, maintaining all necessary records for reporting purposes.
  9. Ensure that relevant data is captured, maintained and utilised to provide timely and accurate management information.
  10. Lead by example, offering a professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal and external customers/suppliers.
  11. Ensure personal presentation and grooming is maintained to an acceptable standard.
  12. Complete all work following safe practices and procedures so as to ensure the safety of oneself, fellow employees, customers and site visitors.
  13. Monitor budgets on a monthly basis, providing explanations for under/over spends.
  14. Monitor service levels at location by staff to both external and internal customers.
  15. Build and maintain good relationships with Bridgestone customers, suppliers and staff.
  16. Maintain the accuracy and security of all Company information.
  17. Maintain the accuracy and security of all Company stock.




  1. Ensure all staff are trained and ready to perform their day to day duties in accordance with Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures
  2. Reduce minimum freight charges by ensuring orders are consolidated in the most efficient manner as well as ensuring the release process is being followed
  3. Respond to all internal and external customers in an excellent manner and fulfil their requirements
  4. Manage the Wellington warehouse within set budgets while maintaining superior customer service
  5. Ensure the safety of all persons at your site by completion of Health, Safety & Environment Event Planner tasks for your site as required and ensure that all employees at your site understand, adhere to and follow safe work practices, HSE policy and procedures, including the use of PPE in accordance with company requirements.

Full clean driving licence

MAF Operator Certificate




Code A: (Must have)

Minimum 3 years Logistics experience

Knowledge and understanding of warehouse processes

Staff Management

Full passenger vehicle driver's license.

Sixth form certificate-level maths and English (preferable).

Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel.
